The Zwanenbroedershuis

Welcome to the website of Museum Zwanenbroedershuis, the residence of the "Illustre Lieve Vrouwe Broederschap" (Confraternity of the Illustrious Lady), founded in 1318 and ever since established in ‘s Hertogenbosch. Although this magnificent house that has been built by the confraternity was finished only in 1847, they have been seated at this location already since 1483.

 
Museum Zwanenbroedershuis is worth a visit; besides of experiencing a rich history of the Confraternity from the Middle Ages until the present, the museum displays a unique cultural heritage of unique historic objects among which are 15th and 16th century songbooks, wood carvings and the goblet of William, Prince of Orange, the founder of the Netherlands.
